Latin Trap / Reggaeton Remedial Production: A complete overhaul of a failed project, delivering the high-energy, size, and pulse required for a commercial Latin Trap aesthetic (Cardi B reference).

💡 WHAT I DID:
Remedial Producer & Mixer: Called in after the original producer failed. I completely rearranged and re-composed the instrumental, handled all remedial cleanup (iZotope RX/Melodyne of both the owner's and the featured singer's tracks), mixing, and mastering. I worked exclusively and remotely with the main artist (Bah'Ndong in Germany) to guide the new arrangement structure.

✅ MY CREATIVE CHOICES:
The core goal was solving arrangement fatigue and creating size and pulse. The aggressive energy was achieved by designing a symbiotic layer of synth brass and sampled horns that follows the main rhythm, providing the missing depth and mid-frequency aggression to the $808$. The rhythmic pulse comes from combining the kick/808 with cyclical bongos/congas (the Latin reference). The arrangement uses obvious cycle pauses to introduce new elements, making the song feel like a developing "journey" where the energy constantly builds and falls.

🎚️ MY TECHNICAL CHOICES:
The mix focused on remedial cleanup and parallel processing. Aggressive rap vocals were fixed using iZotope RX (de-reverb, de-clip, de-saturate), then subjected to manual gain automation (to avoid compounding room issues) before processing. Aggression and density were achieved via heavy parallel processing (compression, saturation, transient shaping). Transient shaping was used to crush backup vocals for depth and sustain. Vocal clarity was ensured via selective two-stage sidechaining applied at the vocal and music bus level. The instrumental foundation was glued via an SSL compressor on the dedicated Music Bus. The Master Bus completed the mix with strategic tonal sculpting, harmonic enhancement, and precise dynamic control of the bass, finalized by a controlled two-stage limiting process for competitive loudness.
